Falck Global Assistance, a Denmark-based emergency response service, has opened a new 24/7 facility in Bangkok, expanding its presence in one of the top tourist destinations in Southeast Asia.
The company, founded in 2009, provides international travel emergency assistance, as well as medical and security risk management and crisis management solutions, in partnership with numerous global businesses and travel insurance providers.
The Thailand office is Falck’s third-such location in Asia. It will be headed by Idsarie Liew-wonggon and employ 20 people, providing 24/7 assistance and linking travellers to 60,000 medical providers all over the world.
“For years, Thailand has been one of the most popular travel destinations for Scandinavian business and leisure travellers,” said Daniel Hummel, managing director of Falck Global Assistance. “By being locally present and employing local people, we strengthen our regional knowledge in several ways. This in turn will help us to ensure the best medical treatment at the best available rates for our customers – and to the customers of our customers.”
