Major general insurer
Chubb has launched
Chubb Connect, a suite of value-added services for its travel insurance clients in Singapore.
Chubb Connect’s services initially include complimentary wifi connectivity and SOS alerts. First released in Australia in May, the services were simultaneously launched in Singapore and New Zealand, with other markets in the region to follow in due time.
“With the Chubb Connect app, not only do customers stay connected but they can also opt to receive SOS alerts informing them of travel disruptions as and when these happen,” explained Jon Ford, head of partnership distribution for Chubb Asia-Pacific.
“Delivered in real-time via the app, SMS, and e-mail, our customers can make informed decisions before and during their travels. The app also connects travellers to our 24/7 emergency hotline if they require help in a foreign land.”
Meanwhile, Alex Blake, Chubb's global head of travel insurance, stressed that smartphone connections in Asia make up over 50% of mobile connectivity daily.
“Operating in such a highly connected and mobile region, Chubb recognizes the need to provide our customers with value-added services in addition to insurance protection and assistance,” Blake said.
